Base colours can also mixed with our other products: Candy, Spectracoat, Sparkle, flip paint etc. Specialist Paints Premium Base Metallic Colours require mixing 2:1 with D-Thinner. Available in: 500ml and 1 Litre sizes. Base Metallic Application: Base Metallics are easy to apply and can even be applied by an airbrush. (Always spray test panels before spraying you product or project) - Start by prepping your project as you would any other paint job. (Sand, Prime, etc.)
- Mix Base Metallic 2-1 with D-Thinner and stir well.
- Apply 2-3 coats Leave 10-15 minutes between coats.
- Apply effect colour or 2k Show Clear for a Real Deep Gloss finish.
