What is a tan accelerator?

A tan accelerator will maximise the results of your tanning session by giving a deeper tan with less time spent on a sunbed. Some brands are simply moisturising lotions that call themselves tan accelerators on the premise that moisturised skin tans better. Although this is true, their effect is minimal, if any.

A good tan accelerator that does what it should contains ingredients that stimulate the skin to bronze faster, such as L-tyrosine, as well as ingredients that your skin needs to produce a better, deeper tan more quickly while combating UV-induced free radicals, such as vitamins, carotenoids, and antioxidants. Some accelerators contain bronzer, which kick-starts your colour and results in a beautiful golden-hued tan.

Carrot oil is a natural tan accelerator that can be used in the sun and on sunbeds. It is also rich in beta carotene which shows as a bronze coloured tint on the skin and is a contributor to LannsZe’s signature golden glow. Carrot oil is also rich in vitamins A, E, & C and antioxidants, all of which significantly reduce the signs of ageing and combat free radicals.

LannsZe does not contain any SPF (sun protection factor). It is recommended that an SPF-containing cream is applied to the skin before the application of LannsZe, or that you have a base tan prior its use. LannsZe may stain light-colored garments temporarily. However, this does tend to wash out after a single wash, but depending upon the type of garment it may need a few more washes. LannsZe can give fantastic tanning results, but to achieve a healthy, glowing, and beautiful tan, it is essential to tan responsibly. Only increase exposure times to the sun or on sunbeds slowly and gradually over time as you build up your tan.
