ASC Professional Portable Minidisc Audio Recorder Unit - Ex BBC Radio . This is an ex-BBC reporters MD audio recorder unit, which were used by them in the late 90's and early 2000's, before being sold off. It has been well used, and we were using this one until last summer for teaching students on a event radio station. It has XLR inputs, and XLR or mini-jack outputs to connect it to external equipment if you want to play back, as well as headphone outputs. It can take either mic or line inputs, and can be used to play either from the minidisc or play through from an external source. It also has a built in speaker if you need. The Sony MD is good quality, and can also do basic editing on the move. It needs a 12 charger (a standard one will do), as that has gone missing, and of course you would need to provide your own mic and XLR cable. A good solid unit for either use, or those into collecting ex-broadcast items.
