Early & Rare Art Deco / Vintage Heathcote China Tea Set Trio.
A Matching Teacup, Saucer & Tea Plate.
White glazed, squared and scalloped best bone china with a Leda style tea plate and
saucer, accompanied by a lovely and matching, large footed, square sided teacup.
Enhanced with a very beautiful & bold abstract pattern in yellow.
Hand finished, enamelled floral motifs in turquoise blue & typically complimented by outlining in black.
Edged and trimmed with gilding.
Manufactured in Staffordshire by H M Williamson & Son 1879 - c 1947.
Under the famous trade name of Heathcote China.
Black matching back stamps and as shown.
Dates these pieces to c 1928 +
From pattern number 6338.
Tea plate diameter 6.5" / 12 cm x 7.25" / 18.5 cm diagonally.
Saucer diameter 5.25 " / 13.25 cm.
Teacup height 2.75 "/ 7 cm.
Teacup top diameter 2.75 " / 7 cm.
Comes in wonderful and in possibly, unused condition
with no chips, cracks, crazing, scratches or restoration.
The pattern is still very bright and intact.
With the gilding in excellent condition too.
**From storage / manufacture - one minute rub / dot to the outside teacup handle - a
faint back stamp to the underside of the saucer & plate, with a two light black lines / smudging,
from the original stamping & only on the saucer but mentioned for complete accuracy**
A very stylish and bold design & these tea wares are becoming so much
harder to find and in such good condition.
This set displays wonderfully well as you can see & would certainly enhance your collection,
set, display, to use for afternoon teas, perfect as part of wedding tableware
or even as a beautiful Art Deco / Vintage present !
