This book is about two boy's name Chocolate Boy and Brown Sugar, who mother was killed by the lion called Fear. Fear the lion was suppose to been a myth, the towns people told to scare the kids. But the myth turn out to be, not a myth at all. Fear the lion had killed a lot of the kids parents but the police always cover it up. The boys grandmother who was a messeger from God told the boys that God said, that they had to kill the lion called Fear. She said God said, they had to go and get a child from every race and color and from every country and nation to form this army. So, the boys went to school and ask there teacher could they ask their class to join God army of many races. The boys said, we are our brother's keeper and we have to protect our parents. The kids parents said, NO, because of the colors of the boys skin. The boys was African American in race even though they was hurt, that didn't stop them from obeying God. They was taught to always pray and believe in God and themselves. They knew they had to defeated this lion if they had to do it alone. So they set out to defeat the lion themselves.
