The Story In the 1980s, following their purchase by Dunhill, Montblanc began producing pens and pencils for Dunhill. These were mechanically Montblanc but styled by Dunhill with the distinctive black lacquer inlay on the clip. This fountain pen is based on the Montblanc Noblesse and has the Noblesse grip section and nib. But it is a distinctive design for Dunhill, which they call “Gemline”. 

The pen has a delightfully smooth and ever so slightly springy 14k gold medium nib, which writes like a dream. It is on the finer side of medium. 

The set has been beautifully preserved, complete in its original Dunhill case, with guarantee, and comes fully serviced with a deluxe Dunhill ink converter - ready to write. It is slender and long, weighty yet balanced and the barleycorn finish is an eye catching beauty. 

The Nitty-Gritty
There are no major imperfections to note, no chips splits or engravings. The pen has previously been inked but is in excellent condition.

There is a mark on the end of the cap visible in photo 6 but otherwise the gold plating is in superb condition. The box shows a couple of minor blemishes on the exterior
