I am parting with extremely rare handmade Kirksaeter RTX7000 professional receiver of german Duesseldorf origin. There is little chance you can find another one soon if ever. It is as rare as RTX8000. I have been storing it for several years in dry A/C environment, only turning it on/off like once in a quarter to feed it with current in order to keep caps in not worse condition. Now I decided to let it go (as an owner of top of the line then RTX2000) so here is your chance of getting a worldwide unique receiver - imagine S/N 100dB, THD and IMD 0,15%, frequency 20Hz-20kHz +/- 0,2dB at full load! in 1971. NICE! Forget Marantz Sansui Sony Tandberg etc. During quick 10 min. functionality test before making photos I discovered the following: +preamp works +power amp works + both channels clean, right channel during quick 10 minutes functionality test shows a little rise and drop back in volume, maybe it will settle over time or maybe you should dig more into the matter +lights work -tuner is mute - no noise, nothing -phono is mute - no noise, nothing +headphones out works +controls work, mostly clean, tested to short to say anything specific +everything seems in factory original not repaired 50+years condition. Interestingly there is a hand written sticker on the "Schnittbandkern"-type transformer saying RTX9000...was it handwritten by Per Kirksaeter himself? was RTX9000 in plans of the company? or is it actually a "7" digit there?...we will never now... Cosmetics is very nice, especially for the age, natural veneer with almost no scratches - check the pictures -> this receiver hasn't been tossed around - nothing unusal here: its cost around 1971/73 was 2.000DM, a pile of cash.. Sale from private collection, due to the above description exclusively as not fully functional, but having experience with most Kirksaeter models before 1973 there is nearly a 100% chance restoring it to full spec - and better because of some better grade parts available now. The base for it is very nice...and maybe the only available out there? No returns, no warranty because sale from private.
