We do not paint the slices or use any varnish to change the natural colour  of the log slices.  The log is not protected with varnish, so can't be used outside...To use it outside you have to varnish it with protective outdoor  varnish. We  suggest you to use  yacht varnish... Pictures may looks different on each computer display. Size of the text depends from the lengths of the words. Please use no more than 6-7 words. If you want to use more words first send us a message with the sentence. We can engrave any font that you want. Just send us the name of the font. All pictures are examples.
