Pioneer SX5580 Receiver.. Pioneer SX5580 Receiver in very good condition and full working order. This is the black faced european version of the Pioneer SX1050 with multivoltage. It`s a beast of an amplifier producing 120 Watts per channel into 8 Ohms and 160 Watts per channel into 4 Ohms which will make your home shake (and your neighbours too !) with the huge amounts of power available on tap. It also sounds superb when being used at sensible volumes with an FM tuner section that is hard to beat for its realistic presentation. It was imported from the US around 8 years ago where it was serviced by its original electronics engineer owner and has performed flawlessly since, however its been sat unused for the last 2 or 3 years so after much deliberation I`ve decided to move it on to someone who`s going to use and enjoy it. I`ve just fired it up and checked the inputs (inc` both phonostages) which all work fine with a small amount of static on the volume control which should fade when in regular use once more. All the dial and indicator lights are working and it still looks an impressive piece of kit having been built when quality and not cost was important. However, I must make clear there is no warranty with the amp due to its age, but I do guarantee it`s in full working order with no known issues and may well provide another 40 years of enjoyment. There are some minor marks to the black casing and the veneer at the base of both sides is starting to lift slightly but the face is excellent. I`m prepared to pack it very, very safely for UK shipping via UPS and the Global Shipping Programme, but would much prefer collection in person or could possibly meet up. The cost of shipping will be around £45 to mainland UK due to the amp`s 60lb weight and high cost of insurance. Any questions please get in touch.
