 If you have purchased a vintage amplifier and have not changed the power supply capacitors, you have a time bomb on your hands.

Don't fool around with NOS capacitors unless you are looking for trouble.

  Our Mc-40 Refurbish  Kit includes the following:

(A)

(1) 80/40/30/20 @525 V Twist Lock Can. You can use the 80,30 uf sections to get 110uf to replace the 80uf (30 uf  increase in capacitance), and use the 40 uf to replace the 35 uf, and the 20uf to replace the 15uf. The bass response is incredible.

 (B)

2) USA Made CTech  250uf @ 250V 105C Brand New Isolated Twist Lock Cans for the voltage doubler. These replace the 150uf capacitors for another terrific increase in bass performance.

OR (Depending on stock)

(2) German Made Authenticap 250uf @ 250V Brand New Isolated Twist Lock Cans for the voltage doubler. These replace the 150uf capacitors for another terrific increase in bass performance.

These are also direct fit, no chassis modifications or clamps required.

(C)

(1) 22uf /250V  85C operating temperature Electrolytic for replacing the Bias Filter Cpacitor. 

(D)

(1) 1A 1000V PIV  Silicon Diode for replacing the Selinium rectifier

(E)

(1) 10K Trim Potentiometer (POT). The POT is simply used to determine the correct resistor value for your bias circuit, of which you then obtain and install. Its explained in the insatalliton tips.

(D) all audio coupling capacitors .

Guide to installation - offer tips for easier installation- assumes you have the tools and technical knowledge and experience to do the work.

The increase in performance of the MC40 with this kit installed is very significant, especially in bass palpability  punch and imaging.
