We have been in the motor vehicle repair sector for many years. In 2014 we had an idea, it was to design and build resistance emulators. We are the original designers of the srs assist resistance emulator range, and have been building QUALITY emulators since then. We have sold quite a few and have many happy customers as you can see from our feedback. Being they are so popular, we decided to update our design and also have the vinyl fascia professionally printed as improving Product Quality, Reliability and Customer Satisfaction is our Ultimate Goal. Quality built for professionals, very useful when it comes to SRS / Airbags troubleshooting, testing the system is working by enabling you to simulate the resistance of a faulty or missing device to ensure the system is fully functional, making troubleshooting a lot more easier and accurate, avoiding the expense of purchasing unnecessary parts. You can also watch the ohms reading in live data on your compatible diagnostic scanner change, whilst increasing / decreasing the resistance, proving the wiring and the SRS ECU are OK. SIMPLE TO USE: We have designed this emulator with the X 1Ω selector knob to rotate continuously 360 degrees clockwise or anti-clockwise 0.0Ω - 0.0Ω, this way you can select any position required, for ease of use. The X 0.1Ω selector knob rotates 270 degrees  0.1Ω to 0.9Ω. This will give you a total of over 195 different resistances, ranging from 0.00 to 21.9Ω that can be selected by turning the selector knobs & using the 10 plus button. This unit was designed originally for srs / airbag diagnostics but has also proven very useful in other fault finding Procedures. NORMAL MODE USE: 0.0  - 11.9 ohms The emulator resistance is easily adjustable, the left control knob goes up 1 ohm per click and the right hand knob goes up  0.1 ohm per click, so for example if you wanted to test at 3.3 ohms simply make sure the 10Ω PLUS button is clicked in the UP position (normal mode), turn the left hand knob to position 3 and the right hand knob to position 3 . You can also simulate a short circuit, no need to disconnect emulator, just turn both selector knobs to “0” ohms make sure that the 10Ω Plus button is clicked in the up position (normal mode).  10 PLUS MODE USE: 12.0 - 21.9 ohms The emulator resistance is easily adjustable, by pressing, clicking down the 10 PLUS button, this adds 10Ω to any resistance chosen, resistance is easily adjustable, the left control knob goes up 1 ohm per click and the right hand knob goes up in 0.1 ohm per click with the 10 PLUS button clicked in the DOWN position , for example say you wanted to test at 16.8 ohms simply make sure the 10 PLUS button is in the clicked DOWN position, turn the left hand knob to position 6 and the right hand knob to position 8 its really that simple.

SPECIFICATIONS:

• All resistances are Max .25 watt ¼ watt +/- 3% tolerance.

• Professionally quality printed vinyl resistance dial fascia (that won't fade away unlike some home printed labels).
• 2 x rotary switch that clicks into any chosen position.
• 10 Plus switch clicks on/off pitch approx 2mm.
• The Case material is ABS Plastic and the diamensions are approximately 75mm x 48mm x 27mm + knobs.
• Flexible long life test leads approximately 200mm Inc exit rubber anti-stress grommet & pins.

NOTE: If the yellow pin wires are lengthened then the resistance tolerance will change, please remember this if you decide to check the srs assist unit using a good quality ohms meter, make sure your meter ZERO's, do not use the meter probe leads, just plug in the 2 leads directly from the srs assist unit into your ohms meter as the leads on your meter have a resistance, this means you will not read the srs assist units true readings. SAFETY: This Model has NO BATTERIES or power source, this means you never have a flat battery during use, also it will be impossible for this unit to cause any damage by sending power to an ecu or other part during diagnosis. PRECAUTIONS: Never make any measurement directly on air bag module(s) or seat belt tensioners. A fault in these components is determined by a process of elimination using a Resistance Emulator. To avoid accidental air bag deployment when trouble shooting SRS, DO NOT use self-powered electrical test equipment, such as battery-powered or AC-powered voltmeter, ohmmeter, etc. when air bag module(s) or seat belt tensioners are connected to SRS.
