Tegaderm is a transparent medical dressing manufactured by 3M.

This non-sterile roll version of 3M™ Tegaderm™ Transparent Film Dressing provides all the benefits of surgical tape while providing a waterproof, bacterial and viral barrier.

It protects at-risk, intact skin to help prevent skin breakdown caused by friction and bodily fluids.

Features and Benefits

Instructions

  • Cut the required length
  • Peel away the back liner labelled 3M Tegaderm 1 . Handle the dressing by the edge to avoid touching the adhesive part
  • Align to the desired location and apply without stretching
  • Gently smooth down the dressing, helping to seal the film
  • Peel away the two parts of top liner having the ruler scale, and labelled number 2 .
  • Press the bandage for 15-20 seconds

Removal

Grasp one edge of the dressing and gently pull straight out to stretch it and release the adhesion. By stretching the dressing, the material expands and releases until the dressing is removed. To aid in lifting the dressing edge, press a small piece of tape onto a corner of the dressing and continue with the stretch release method of removal.
