Liver of Sulphur XL Gel is formulated for versatility & convenience. - Shelf life is many times that of dry liver of sulphur - Used to patina metals such as silver, copper, bronze, metal clay- Non-flammable and poses no dry inhalation hazard. - May be used in its ready form by brushing it onto objects. 1 teaspoon of gel is enough to make 12 fl. oz. of solution. ~

Dry liver of sulphur is very unstable and goes dead in a few hours if left uncovered or exposed to light. Liver of sulphur in liquid form is even more unstable. Patina Gel is stable, so even if the lid has been left off, it will remain fresh. You’ll love the convenience & long life of our new Patina Gel, and it oxidises just like any other sulphur-based oxidising agent.
