  gofanco Prophecy 4K-HDR 1x8 HDMI 2.0a Splitter Audio Video Distribution Amplifier with adjustable EDID management and auto video scaling provides a cost effective and advanced HDMI splitter solution. It allows high quality HDMI video/audio to be mirrored to 8 displays without signal degradation (NO extended mode, cannot drag content from one screen to the other).

  This top of the line 8-Port HDMI splitter has all the features you need and is perfect for users who are gradually upgrading their media and entertainment set ups, including mixed resolution output and EDID learning.

  Mixed Resolution Output (Downscaling): Distribute 4K signal to display(s) and 1080p to the other(s), allowing for the seamless integration of newer displays with older displays in the same environment.

  Intelligent Downscaling

  Supports mixed 4K & 1080p display outputs. A 4K video source device can simultaneously display 4K content to 4K monitor(s) and 1080p content to 1080p monitor(s) via downscaling.

  Use Elgato or other game capture device to record game play footage in 1080p, while actually playing in 4K.

  Downscaling Limitations:

  • Downscaling from 720p to 480p or 4K @60hz 4:2:2 to 1080p or 2K to 1080p NOT supported
  • 4K HDR to 1080p makes the 1080p display look washed out (PRO-HDRSplit4P-EH fixes this / see below). Splitter can bypass 4K HDR data content but cannot process it to make 4K HDR content fit 1080p proportionally
  • Auto downscale from 4K to 1080p should work in most cases. If Auto doesn’t work, try the Forced downscale option
  • Frame rate conversion (e.g., 60Hz to 24Hz) is not supported

   

  Important Notes   4K @30Hz monitors will display in 1080p @60Hz when the source content is 4K @60Hz. DOES NOT support extended display mode. Cannot drag content from one screen to the other. Dolby Vision: Use EDID Learning mode (Up/Down/Down) to get Dolby Vision Working. Requires using Dolby Vision supported source and display!
